Job Title: Veterinary Technician
Location: 14471 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32250
Position Type: Full-time
Schedule: 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day or 2 weekdays and 2 weekend days (Clinic is open M-F 7am-7pm, Sat 8am-5pm, Sun 9am-5pm)
Compensation: $17-$20 hourly, based on experience

Position Overview: The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, provide nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, oversee triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Two or more years of experience with veterinary appointments, surgeries and nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients.
- Licensing: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in clinical skills such as anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, and patient care.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members. A focus on client education and helping owners make informed decisions.
- Compassion & Empathy: Strong dedication to providing fear-free, compassionate care to animals, as well as showing empathy and respect toward clients and colleagues.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
